Just One More Printmaking
Summary: This activity was based on the book Just One More by Jennifer Hansen Rolli. In the story, Ruby always wants just one more of everything, including ice cream scoops. For this project, students created ice cream scoops through the process of printmaking with both stencils and Q-tips. Then, students cut out their scoops and glued them onto an ice cream cone.
Extension Activity: As shown in the photograph above, this project could easily be integrated with math. In lower grades, such as Kindergarten, this activity could be used to solidify the students' skills to add one to any number. Additionally, this project would be a great addition to a math lesson because it provides visual learners with a visual representation of a simple addition problem.
