Thanksgiving Beaded Corn and Placemats

 

Summary: This art project focused on patterns. Students created corn using beads and pipe cleaners. Students were required to create number patterns on the corn using their beads. Additionally, students had to create placements with symbol patterns on them. 

Extension Activity: This project could easily be integrated into a lower-level math classroom. While students are learning about the different types of patterns and what they look like, students could create these small projects using different art media to practice the skills they have learned.
